# Pricing Your Work

There's two general formats for this, and you've probably seen a lot more guides on the first kind:

* pricing based on your supplies
* pricing based on market demand

I myself am pretty firmly in the latter kind, so this guide will be both about that and why it's better.

In the case of being a freelancer artist type, your supplies are time and energy more than physical goods like raw materials but are no less valuable, and, in fact, are probably *more* valuable by being intangible.
